For Outplacement Firms

For Outplacement Firms

A scalable career transition resource for displaced employees, designed for the realities of large transition cohorts.

Cohorts at scale, time on the clock

Outplacement firms support cohorts of displaced employees, often hundreds at a time, often in compressed windows. Standard packages combine generic résumé help, job board access, and limited 1:1 coaching. The result is variable: some employees thrive, but most receive support that doesn’t match their specific situation. Coaching time is the constraint.

The mid-career senior contributor whose role is being absorbed by AI is in a different situation than the long-tenured manager re-entering an unfamiliar market, who is in a different situation than the early-career professional displaced from their first real role. Generic curriculum doesn’t differentiate. Coaches absorb the gap, until they can’t.

Differentiated support without proportional coaching headcount

Each displaced employee starts with the Career Remake Assessment. The eight archetypes capture the real situations displaced employees arrive in, including the Adapter (AI and automation displacement), the Returner (re-entering after a gap), the Pivoter (switching industries), and the Escapee (out of an environment that has worsened). Specific worksheets address specific blockers.

Employees see concrete progress on day one of the engagement, not after they’ve been waiting a week for a coaching slot. Coaches still do the high-judgment work. The framework absorbs the structured-but-time-consuming layer that doesn’t require a coach’s expertise.

A common vocabulary across the cohort

Coaches working a single cohort can speak the same language about where each employee is. Cohort-wide group sessions can be organized by archetype rather than by tenure or role. The corporate buyer (HR, the laid-off employer) gets a coherent framework to point to in their messaging to displaced employees, instead of a generic “here’s some support” package.
